Executive Director – Iowa Stormwater Education Partnership
The Iowa Stormwater Education Partnership (ISWEP) is seeking an energetic and creative full-time Executive Director to lead the strategic vision and operational functions of the organization. ISWEP is a small nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that supports stormwater programs in Iowa cities and counties, educational organizations, and stormwater professionals. The Executive Director will have the opportunity to work with the Ex Officio Executive Director for a period of time during the transition. A requirement of employment is that the Executive Director reside in Iowa.
The ED shall maintain and support a strong Board of Directors and build board involvement with strategic direction for state and national stormwater issues. The ED will oversee daily strategic and operational activities of the partnership in supporting its members and executing its mission. The ED will organize and attend board and committee meetings to provide program updates. This person will be responsible for the financial integrity of ISWEP and submit to the ISWEP Board a proposed annual budget and monthly accounting statements that reflect the financial condition. Budget activities shall be coordinated by the ED and Treasurer. This person will assist with the administration of the operations of all ISWEP programs including the Educational Resource Program, Training and Contracted Services that includes the hiring and retention of competent staff and contractors. Tracking state and national legislation is also a responsibility in coordination with partners and their lobbyists. Duties include working with staff and contractors to ensure the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning, future programming, and building partnerships. They will be responsible for reviewing financial documents, agreements, grant proposals, contracts and other documentation made and entered into and on behalf of ISWEP and as ED sign these documents on behalf of ISWEP.
