ISWEP is excited to announce The Ripple Effect Award, recognizing outstanding urban stormwater management projects that protect and improve Iowa’s water quality.
This award celebrates projects that demonstrate creative solutions to manage stormwater runoff and create measurable water quality benefits. Winners serve as models that other communities can learn from and replicate.
Who Can Win
We welcome nominations for projects led by:
- Public entities (cities, counties, regional authorities)
- Private developers and businesses
- Designers and consultants
- Collaborative partnerships between multiple organizations
What We’re Looking For
Strong nominations will showcase projects that include green infrastructure, nature-based features, or smart infrastructure solutions, innovative policy initiatives, community engagement approaches, and measurable water quality improvements. Projects should demonstrate potential to serve as a model for other Iowa communities.
Award Details
ISWEP will present Ripple Effect Awards annually. Winners will be honored at IStorm 2026 on April 22-23 in Cedar Falls, IA.
Nominations are due March 20, 2026.
