Join us for our fall webinar series featuring practical insights on stormwater management topics relevant to Iowa communities and professionals. All sessions run from 9:00 to 10:00 AM and will be recorded for later viewing.

October 8 – Climate Change, Rainfall Statistics, and Stormwater Infrastructure in the Midwest
Dr. Daniel Wright, University of Wisconsin-Madison, researches extreme rainfall and floods and co-authored the 5th National Climate Assessment. He will cover what shifting rainfall statistics mean for stormwater infrastructure in the Midwest.

November 5 – Iowa Creek Stream Restoration: Construction Experiences and Performance During July’s Flooding Event
Noel Steckelberg, PE, is a civil engineer with the City of Ames specializing in stream restoration and stabilization design. He will walk through construction of the Iowa Creek project and how it performed during this July’s flooding.

December 10 – Moving Beyond Plastic: Sustainable Erosion Control Alternatives
Dr. Jaime Schussler, Oklahoma State University, researches erosion and sediment control for construction, urban, agricultural, and reclamation sites. She will discuss practices that reduce reliance on plastic materials.
