About This Training
Join ISWEP for an abridged ICSD certification course offered ahead of the IECA Great Connections Conference. This morning session covers the same core content as the standard full-day training in a condensed format. Participants earn the standard certification and 6.25 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) by completing an out-of-class exercise and exam.
Lunch is provided for training registrants following the session.

Who Should Attend
This certification is designed for engineers, landscape architects, site designers, plan reviewers, municipal staff, and environmental consultants who want to produce site-specific plans that effectively control construction site runoff.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you’ll be able to:
- Create detailed, site-specific SWPPPs that effectively prevent erosion and control sediment
- Apply regulatory requirements for General Permit No. 2 compliance
- Implement appropriate erosion, sediment, and velocity control practices
- Incorporate good housekeeping pollution prevention measures
- Navigate the six phases of SWPPP preparation
- Properly implement a SWPPP at a construction site
Once certified, designers are listed in ISWEP’s statewide database of certified professionals. The credential is valid for three years.
