On Tuesday, January 22, Tracy Peterson-Ames, and Pete De Kock-Clive gave presentations on the benefits of keeping stormwater management policy decisions on a local level, in opposition of Senate File 455. HBA representatives presented on the benefits of SF455.

Handouts were provided to committee members that included the results of the ISWEP Engineer Survey, conducted by Iowa State University’s CSSM-SRS program in the fall of 2023, a Legislator’s Guide to Stormwater Management, and Policy Recommendations for Stormwater Management in Iowa.

The House Local Government Committee did not make any decisions on SF455 this week. Some members of the committee requested additional information, which we are gathering at this time, and will provide to them next week.
