Iowa Salt Applicator Leadership Training (ISALT)

The ISALT program provides professional development for winter maintenance professionals responsible for safe and environmentally conscious deicing operations. Designed for city and county personnel, DOT staff, engineers, contractors, facilities managers, and commercial service providers, this training balances public safety with environmental protection. Developed in partnership with the American Public Works Association (APWA) and the Professional Snowfighters Association, ISALT offers industry-leading expertise and best practices.
