Iowa’s Premier Conference and Exhibition for the Stormwater Industry

IStorm 2021 Virtual Conference and Exhibition will bring together professionals from across the stormwater industry, including municipal employees, elected officials, engineers, landscape architects, floodplain managers, watershed and conservation leaders, and sediment and erosion control professionals. Conference tracks include MS4 Implementation, Green Infrastructure, Erosion and Sediment Control, and Floodplain and Watershed Management. A total of 9.0 professional development hours (PDHs) are available at IStorm 2021. An additional 2.0 hours are available if you choose to attend a bike tour!

And, yes, we know… another virtual conference. To avoid further “Zoom fatigue”, we’ve spread presentations out amongst three short morning sessions. We’re using the Whova conference platform again. If you attended IStorm with us last year, you should be familiar with the system! If not, it’s easy to learn.

We’re also planning in-person bike tours of green infrastructure that will be conducted in a socially-distant way. Ride along with friends and colleagues while learning about new, innovative stormwater practices throughout the Clive Greenbelt (central Iowa) and throughout eastern Iowa’s Creative Corridor. Tours are optional and free to attend… just bring your own bike!

Registration Opens Soon!

Call for Abstracts

The IStorm Planning Committee is now accepting abstracts for breakout sessions. Speakers gain significantly reduced registration fees and a chance to share their research, projects, and ideas with stormwater professionals from across the industry.

Breakout sessions should fall into one of the four categories detailed above, and will be 30 minutes in length with 5 minutes for question and answer. Follow the link below to submit an abstract via our online submission form. Abstract submissions are due before May 10th, and conference planners will notify you by email before June 14th if your abstract has been chosen for the event.

Registration for the entire conference opens this summer but make sure to save the date for IStorm 2021! If you can’t block off the three mornings to attend the live event, all sessions will be recorded and available for registrants to view for up to 6 months after the event.
