2013 AWARD WINNERS

Stormwater Award Winner:  Mr. Tom Brownlow, City Manager, Charles City

Just one of many reasons why Mr. Brownlow was selected for the 2013 Storwater Award:  "Tom has provided the leadership in applying the largest permeable paver project in Iowa and throughout the Midwest. Permeable pavers were installed as a retrofit project on 27 blocks of residential streets in Charles City. This project eliminates runoff from a historic neighborhood of Charles City, which provides water quality protection and reduces flooding, while improving property values in the neighborhood."
